Questions still need to be answered. Why would Matthew use the sentence "When Jesus finished these words" as his section divider? Do the paragraphs of text between the 'divider' sentences hang together as a 'section' that is, are they on the one underlying subject? How does Matthew 'hang' his paragraphs together within his sections of text? Scholars agree that the first gospel written was the gospel of Mark and both Matthew and Luke relied heavily on his text.
