The Gospel of Matthew - - 11:2-18:35

You may (or may not) recall the middle paragraph in Mark's Section C.
As a reminder you can look at this here. It is about Jesus walking on water.

(Back to Matthew's gospel!)

In the previous page when a possible Matthew's Section D was set out, there were (arguably) thirty-one paragraphs.
You can check out the middle one which is paragraph sixteen, here.
This is also about Jesus walking on water.

Question:

Do you think Matthew deliberately put this paragraph in the middle of this section
and if so why??
The outline of a Section D for Matthew here also has suggestions about qualities to be found and encouraged in an environment in which the spirit of the commandments is kept.

Take note that Matthew introduces the section by talking about the works of wisdom. You can check out what he says about Wisdom here

You could check out how these "works" compare with your own understanding of the paragraphs e.g. by drawing up your own list for the the previous page or checking the paragraphs and suggestions in the next one.
